Given all this time to dream
To not have them come true
The only dream that’s left in me
Is the dream I have of you
In darkest times
The coldest nights
You were always there
Peace that dwelled within your eyes
The sunshine in your hair
The world was at your fingertips
Opportunity by your side
Loving friends to comfort you
And the Lord Jesus in your mind
If I had just one last chance
To tell you how I feel
I’d tell you how much you mean to me
And how I feel is real
I would tell you how much I love you
How much I really care
Now that I miss you oh so much
How painfully my heart tears
We had so many plans you see
All were carefully thought out
And now forever has come to be
