Escape From...
In my time of adolescence,
Everything seems so confusing,
I look at everyone acting so mindless and idiotic,
They are cynical and mocking,
Only to those who are not exactly,
Exactly like them,
So what if I am different?
I need to escape from them!
I am distraught, but need to become tranquil.
I commence to think of good things,
Of all that my Lord has blessed me with.
I was stricken, but no longer are they ominous,
No longer do they persecute me.
I look at the world tentatively yet placidly.
Those mindless people will, eventually, grow
up:
And in time, so will I.
